Who We Are

All District 104 students complete and conclude their elementary education at Heritage Middle School, Home of the Sailors and Lady Sailors. Heritage Middle School, HMS, is home to the sixth through eighth graders. We are part of the IESA  (Illinois Elementary School Association).  Approximately 600 students comprise our student population. Our Students compete in Basketball, volleyball, soccer, wrestling, softball, cross-country and scholastic bowl in Junior varsity and Varsity levels  We are part of the West Suburban Conference or the (WSC)  The WSC is a conference made of 13 schools from Berwyn, Oak Park, Riverforest, NorthLake, Berkeley, Maywood, Melrose Park and Cicero. 

 

 

Updated Uniform Policy State of Illinois: The district allows a student to modify his or her athletic or team uniform for the purpose of modesty in clothing or attire that is accordance with the requirements of his or her religion or his or her cultural values or modesty preferences. A student is not required to receive the prior approval of the school board for such modification. 105 ILCS 5/10-20.73;
