Mission

Homewood-Flossmoor’s Athletics strives for excellence in all that it does. We are educators as well as coaches, and we labor to motivate our student-athletes towards success in the classroom as well as their chosen sport(s). We will promote the development of team and individual skill, while providing an experience that fosters an emotional, physical and intellectual foundation for growth and well-being. Spirit, loyalty, confidence, self-esteem and enjoyment of the sport are noticeable components of a positive experience.

 

At H-F, athletes are students first. Student-athletes must work hard in the classroom and towards graduation as passionately as they do towards victory. Student-athletes will demonstrate compassion, responsibility and dedication to their team and teammates as they act with honor, integrity, and an understanding of their role in the school and community.

 

The H-F Athletic Department is committed to providing opportunities that enhance the experiences of all student-athletes. We believe that participation in sport produces lessons that will be used in life as well as in competition. Our department is dedicated to providing a positive learning environment with equitable opportunities for all student-athletes and staff.
